Information about the cookies and similar technologies used by the ITPMI website, and how to manage your consent, in accordance with Ecuador's LOPDP.
This Cookie Policy complements the Privacy Policy and the Personal Data Processing Policy. It explains which cookies we use, for what purposes, and how you can accept, reject or change your decision.
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. They make it possible to remember preferences, keep the session secure, measure site usage and, if you authorize it, support digital advertising campaigns. Similar technologies (pixels, tags, local or session storage) may perform similar functions and, for the purposes of this policy, are treated equivalently when they involve processing personal data.
The data controller is the Instituto Técnico del Petróleo INSTIPETROL Cía. Ltda. (ITPMI), RUC 1792336287001, with address at Av. Gaspar de Villarroel E10-121 y Av. 6 de Diciembre, Edificio Plaza 6, office 22, Quito, Ecuador. Privacy contact: contacto@itp.edu.ec.

If you reject, only necessary cookies remain. At this stage no separate granular control per category is offered; rejecting all non-essential cookies is fully valid.
Necessary cookies are based on the technical necessity of the service and/or ITPMI's legitimate interest in operating the site securely. Analytics and advertising cookies are based on your consent, which you may grant or refuse through the site's cookie notice, in accordance with the LOPDP.
You may also request information or exercise rights related to cookie-derived data by writing to contacto@itp.edu.ec.
Google and Meta may process data outside Ecuador. Details about processors, transfers and your rights are set out in the Privacy Policy and in the Data Processing Policy. Form data is also managed in Odoo; that is not a cookie, but it is part of the same data protection framework.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.). Please note that blocking all cookies may affect site features, including remembering your consent preference. See your browser's help for specific instructions.
We may update this policy when the cookies used, the providers or the applicable regulations change. The current version will be published on this page with its update date.
